Information from A to Z

To allow participants to read the abstracts and view the programme of the 33rd Annual Meeting in Switzerland, ESHRE will offer several options :

- An app for tablets and smartphones
- An online itinerary
- The web pages dedicated to the programme, where the abstract book will become available as a PDF file

Congress badges should be worn by all participants at all times during the congress, during the Precongress Courses, in the exhibit area and within other areas of the congress centre as well as during social activities. Only participants wearing their congress badge will be admitted to the scientific sessions, to the exhibition and to the social events.

Please note that if you lose or misplace your badge, you will be required to pay an extra administrative fee of € 50 to have a new badge issued.

Children below 18 years old are not allowed in the venue.

In July / August daytime temperatures usually range between 18 to 28 °C (65° - 82° F). It is always recommendable to bring a sweater, sunglasses, a compact umbrella and/or a light rain coat and to check current weather conditions and forecasts here

The main programme was granted 16 European CME credits (ECMEC) by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education. The precongress courses were granted 6 credits, except for courses nr 12 (3 credits for either the morning or the afternoon session) and number 13 (credits are not applicable).

The EACCME is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS). EACCME credits are recognized by the American Medical Association towards the Physician’s Recognition Award (PRA). 

ESHRE will not apply for CME for individual countries (i.e. only CME credits with EACCME will be applied for).

A technical exhibition of pharmaceutical, surgical and laboratory products will be organized, and will be located in Hall 2. The exhibition will be officially opened with the traditional welcome reception at 8 p.m. on Sunday, 2 July immediately following the Opening Ceremony of the Annual Meeting.

ESHRE does not accept liability for individual medical, travel or personal insurance, and participants are strongly advised to take out their own personal insurance in their country of origin. Participation in all excursions, tours etc. is at personal risk.

The aim of ESHRE is to provide a forum for the exchange and discussion of new clinical and scientific ideas. The Society, in good faith, assumes that all participants will respect the non-political nature of our annual meeting.

The registration desk will be located on the ground floor of the congress centre and will be open at the following hours.

Smoking is strictly forbidden within the Palexpo in all session halls, lobbies and other areas during ESHRE 2017 and id generally forbidden in all enclosed areas when these are open to the public or serve as a workplace for more than one person. Hence it is also forbidden to smoke in restaurants, public buildings, offices and on public transport.

The time zone in Switzerland is Central European (Summer) Time CEST, (UTC + two hours).

Anyone staying at a hotel, a youth hostel or a campsite in the canton will receive a "Geneva Transport Card" free of charge. This personal and non-transferable card will be given at arrival at the hotel.
